How we pray for you

  1. A real person reads it. Your request lands in the team's inbox, not a database. Someone from Love on Hamilton reads every one.
  2. We pray for you by name. Every Tuesday the team gathers at 7:00 PM to pray before going out on the streets. Your request is carried into that room and through the week.
  3. You can talk back. You'll get an email confirming we have it. Reply any time — to say more, to ask for prayer again, or just to tell us how it went.

Father, my mind will not slow down and my chest is tight. You said to cast my anxiety on You, so here it is — all of it. I don't know how tomorrow works out, but You do. Give me Your peace that doesn't make sense, and help me take the next breath, and the next step, with You. Amen.

Jesus, You touched the sick and they were healed. I bring this body and this diagnosis to You. Bring healing — through doctors, through medicine, through a miracle, however You choose. Take away fear, give strength for today, and let Your presence be near in the waiting. Amen.

Every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, 75 John St N, Hamilton. The team gathers to pray before heading out and will gladly pray with you there.

Questions people ask

Do I have to be a Christian to ask for prayer?
No. Most of the people we pray with on the streets of Hamilton would not call themselves Christians. You don't have to believe anything or agree to anything. If you want prayer, we will pray for you.
Is my prayer request confidential?
Yes. Your request is read by the Love on Hamilton team only. We never publish requests or share your details, and you can leave your name off entirely — first name only is fine.
Who actually prays for my request?
The Love on Hamilton outreach team — ordinary Christians who gather every Tuesday at 7:00 PM in downtown Hamilton to pray before going out to serve people. Requests are prayed for by name there and through the week.
Will someone contact me?
You will get one email confirming we received your request. Nobody will phone you or show up unless you ask. If you reply to the email, a real person will write back.
Can I request prayer for someone else?
Absolutely. A large share of the requests we receive are for a family member, a friend, or a co-worker. Tell us as much or as little as you want.
Can someone pray with me in person in Hamilton?
Yes. Come to 75 John St N any Tuesday at 7:00 PM. You can also find the team on the streets of downtown Hamilton afterward. If you'd like us to pray with you in person, say so in your request and we will arrange it.
