When you're anxious

Father, my mind will not slow down and my chest is tight. You said to cast my anxiety on You, so here it is — all of it. I don't know how tomorrow works out, but You do. Give me Your peace that doesn't make sense, and help me take the next breath, and the next step, with You. Amen.
When you or someone you love is sick
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Jesus, You touched the sick and they were healed. I bring this body and this diagnosis to You. Bring healing — through doctors, through medicine, through a miracle, however You choose. Take away fear, give strength for today, and let Your presence be near in the waiting. Amen.
When you're praying for someone far from God
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise… he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish.” — 2 Peter 3:9
Lord, You love them more than I do. Open their eyes to see You, soften their heart, and put people in their path who will show them Your kindness. Keep me patient and loving while I wait. I trust You with them. Amen.
When money is running out
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
Father, You know exactly what I need and exactly what is in my account. I'm asking You to provide — rent, food, work, a way through. Give me wisdom with what I have, courage to ask for help, and eyes to see You providing even in small ways. Amen.
When you don't know what to do

God, I'm at a crossroads and I can't see the road. I'd rather trust You than my own understanding. Make the next step clear, close the doors that aren't Yours, and give me peace to walk through the ones that are. Amen.
When you've lost someone

Lord, it hurts more than I can say. You promised to be close to the brokenhearted — be close now. Hold what I can't hold. Let me grieve honestly, and let me feel that I'm not alone in it. Thank You that death does not have the last word. Amen.

No. Most of the people we pray with on the streets of Hamilton would not call themselves Christians. You don't have to believe anything or agree to anything. If you want prayer, we will pray for you.
Yes. Your request is read by the Love on Hamilton team only. We never publish requests or share your details, and you can leave your name off entirely — first name only is fine.
The Love on Hamilton outreach team — ordinary Christians who gather every Tuesday at 7:00 PM in downtown Hamilton to pray before going out to serve people. Requests are prayed for by name there and through the week.
You will get one email confirming we received your request. Nobody will phone you or show up unless you ask. If you reply to the email, a real person will write back.
