Four Free Tools for Everyday Disciples

You don't need a budget to be faithful. Four genuinely free tools — Oikos Map, Kingdom Base, I Am Reborn, and TaskSimply — built to help ordinary believers love people well.

We build tools because we needed them first. Every Tuesday we'd meet people, pray with them, promise to follow up — and then discover a week later that nobody could remember who asked for what. Good intentions kept leaking.

So a few things got built. All of them are free, and all of them exist for the same reason: to help ordinary believers be faithful with the people God puts in front of them.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." — 1 Peter 4:10

1. Oikos Map — name the people already around you

Most of us pray for "the lost" in the abstract while eight specific people sit in our phones. Oikos Map is a free tool for mapping your oikos — your relational world of family, friends, coworkers, and neighbours — so you can pray for them by name.

Something shifts when the abstract becomes specific. "I should evangelise more" produces guilt. "I'm praying for Mike and I'm going to invite him for coffee Thursday" produces action. We wrote more about this in Who's in Your Oikos?

2. Kingdom Base — so follow-up actually happens

Kingdom Base is a free evangelism CRM. That word sounds like sales, but the heart here is care: log the people you meet, their prayer requests, and their next steps, so nobody quietly falls through the cracks.

It's the difference between a moment and a discipleship journey. If you serve on any kind of outreach team, start using it on day one — retrofitting it after you've lost track of fifty names is much harder.

3. I Am Reborn — a gentle place to send a new believer

Someone prays with you on a sidewalk. They mean it. And then they go home with no idea what just happened or what comes next.

IAmReborn.net explains being born again in plain language — no jargon, no pressure. It's what we hand to people who've just said yes, and it's a genuinely kind first step.

4. TaskSimply — steward the unglamorous parts

Ministry runs on logistics more than most people admit. Who's bringing the food? Did we pay for the supplies? Who's following up Thursday?

TaskSimply handles tasks, teams, and budgeting — the scaffolding that keeps a ministry, a small group, or a family from leaking time and money. Stewardship isn't the exciting part of discipleship, but it's a real part of it.

Pick one this week

Don't try to adopt all four. Pick the one that fits the gap you actually have. If it helps you love one person better, it did its job.
